Unprepared for the Blessings of God

Scripture Passage:
Zechariah 7:1-14

Introduction: We often get caught up in the times in which we live. When this happens, we become victims in our minds and lose our zeal for true service to God. This, in turn, leads to sin and judgment. The Lord will soon return. Are you ready?

    1. On the Form of Religion (Zechariah 7:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:5; Isaiah 29:13; Ezekiel 33:31-32)
    2. On the Negative (Zechariah 7:5; Psalm 97:12; 108:7; Nehemiah 8:10; John 15:11; Romans 15:13; Philippians 4:4)
  2. THEIR FORGETFULNESS (Zechariah 7:6-10)
    1. Of the Lord (Zechariah 7:6; 1Corinthians 10:31)
    2. Of the Word (Zechariah 7:7; Amos 8:11)
    3. Of True Righteousness (Zechariah 7:8-10; 2 Timothy 3:1-4)
  3. THEIR FOOLISHNESS (Zechariah 7:11-14)
    1. In Refusing to Hearken (Zechariah 7:11; Ezekiel 3:7)
    2. In Making their Hearts Hard (Zechariah 7:12)
    3. In Ignoring the Judgment to Come (Zechariah 7:13-14)
  4. THEIR FUTURE (Zechariah 8:1-23)
    1. The Return to the Land (Zechariah 8:1-8)
    2. The Fruit of God’s Blessing (Zechariah 8:9-15)
    3. The End of the Fasts (Zechariah 8:18-23)

Conclusion: Therefore—Zechariah 8:16-17
